Along with other changes brought by update 13.1, two new interface changes have been added to Ragnarok Online!

Trade Window

Initiating a trade with another user will now open the new trade window.

This new detail provides greater detail and is easier to view than the previous trade window.

Also with this update, a new skill tree has been implemented.

Pressing Alt+S will open up the new skill tree. Placing the cursor over a skill will list detailed information about the skill, including skill requirements and description of the skill. After distributing skill points, you can either hit Apply to confirm your skill selections, or Reset to distribute your remaining skill points again. Note that once you hit Apply, the changes will be permanent and can only be reset by using a Neuralizer.

Clicking the "-" button on the top right of the skill window will display the classic skill window. This window can be used to assign skills from equipment to a hotkey.

The discovery of the Ash Vacuum has brought new reasons for adventurers to brave the unknown. Two new races have been discovered known only as the Laphine and the Sapha. The Laphine are a fairy-like race that live in the lush grounds west of the Expedition camp. The Sapha are a proud tribe of wood creatures that live in the barren snow grounds east of the Expedition camp. Each race has sworn to protect the World Tree Yggdrasil and have been fighting a war spanning hundreds of years.

The Rune Midgard scientists have discovered ruins in a cave west of the Expedition camp and have reason to believe that it leads to the roots of the World Tree Yggdrasil. Commander Hibba Agip, leader of the Expedition, has commanded an official investigation of these ruins. Some adventurers have already tried exploring the ruins but they lack the ability to communicate with the Laphine and Sapha tribe who must have information about the ruins. There are even rumors that a dragon has been seen in the cave but none can either confirm or deny them. Are you brave enough to take on this task and venture into the unknown?

The NPC Apprentice Craftsman is now offering to enchant certain armors with various stat bonuses. She can be found near the southern Kafra NPC in Prontera.

Items will now display the number of available card slots as empty slots, and unavailable slots are shaded in.

However, when an armor is enchanted using the Apprentice Craftsman NPC, the enchantment displays as a red orb in the 4th card slot.

Note that when you enchant an item in the manner, all refining bonuses and cards will be destroyed. The item will be an enchanted version of the original item, with no upgrades or cards.

The enchantment given is chosen randomly from +1, +2, or +3 of the 6 character stats offered in Ragnarok. The enchantment will be applied in the order the item is placed in the character inventory, so be careful to only have one of the item you wish to enchant in your inventory.

Cute Pets will now give added bonus stats when summoned and have an intimacy level of Cordial or Loyal. Check your favorite Cute Pet to see what bonus stat they will give when summoned.

The Laphine people west of the Expedition Camp live in a village known as Splendide. As they are not originally from this world, their close bond with the World Tree Yggdrasil allowed them to transform the area they occupy into lush green fields. They have dedicated their lives to protecting the World Tree Yggdrasil and are wary of strangers so it is best to watch your words while exploring their lands.

The Sapha in the snow fields east of the Expedition Camp live in a village known as Manuk. These wood-like creatures mine an ore called bradium that is found only in the Ash Vacuum. Not much else is known about the Sapha because of their reclusive nature.

The World Tree Yggdrasil has been protected for centuries by the dragon guardian known as Nidhoggur. The dimensional rift caused by Satan Morocc`s resurrection wounded the World Tree Yggdrasil. The great guardian Nidhoggur also suffered from the wake of the torn space-time gap between Rune Midgard and the Ash Vacuum. Nidhoggur has forgotten its role as protector and now attacks anyone who ventures into its nest beneath the Yggdrasil Tree`s roots. Assemble your party of brave adventurers and defeat Nidhoggur to help the Laphine heal the wounded Yggdrasil.
